Implying Jessica

Ciao!
Welcome to the second part of my photoshoot with model Jessica Bianco, which took place at the Orodi showroom in Limbiate - Italy.

This final part of the series focuses on Implied Nude Photography, using only natural window light, my manual-focus Vivitar 24mm f/2.8 MC, and my DIY soft-focus filter — at least for five of the six images you're about to see.

At the end of the article, you'll discover the surprise tool I used for the sixth image!

When we speak of “Implied nude photographs” is referred to those type of images where the model appears to be partially or completely naked, but in reality she keeps her lingerie on.

This is an exciting week for me:

  • Yesterday, I celebrated the update of my sixth international publication.

  • Today, I release this final part of my work with Jessica.

  • And later this week... I’ll share an important new project I’ve been working on for quite some time now.

In short, it’s a good moment in my artistic journey.

Even if in these day I have to pay special attention to my bank account and I’ve had to put new model shoots on hold for now!

Now, let me tell you what happened behind the scenes.
At a certain point, the battery of my Pentax K-1 died. I reached for the two spare batteries I always carry... only to discover (with great dismay) that I had forgotten to charge them. No more camera.

What could I do?

If you haven’t guessed already, here’s the answer:
I used my iPhone 13 mini, with the back camera and — of course — my DIY soft-focus filter pressed in front of the lens. This was essential to tone down the harsh skin rendering produced by Apple’s sharpness algorithm.

And with that, we conclude this series.

I hope these images have pleased your eyes and stirred your imagination.
