A first look at Giulia

Ciao and welcome!

This is the first, more fashion-inspired part of an experimental model shoot that took place at the end of last February at Kioki Studio in Cologno Monzese (MI)—my hometown in wich I had the pleasure of working with the model Giulia Lunghini.

For this session, I had a clear creative direction in mind, but first, we needed to break the ice with some initial poses in this striking outfit.

The first two portraits above were taken using my Pentax K-1 paired with my trusty Vivitar 24mm f/2.8 MC (Cosinon) — completely manually focused.

The following images were captured with the Pentax HD 35mm f/2, a lens I also truly enjoy for portraiture.

It’s curious that this studio, located in the very same town I live in, had somehow escaped my radar for so long. But alas! It turned out to be a wonderful setting for this creative session, and I’m glad I finally discovered it.

As for Giulia—this was our very first collaboration, and (spoiler alert!) she did an excellent job. You can already see her talent emerging here, but just wait for the next chapters of this shoot… her expressive range will become even more evident.

So, while I continue stirring the many creative pots on my stove, I thank you for your attention and invite you to stay tuned for more.

Stay safe! Stay Creative!
