Dlìn Dlòn! Time’s Up! My Second Sale Campaign Has Ended.

As previewed, promised, and announced, my second limited-edition print sale—featuring signed, certified, and numbered giclée art prints—has come to its natural end after three weeks of running.

My fcatelier page, closed

As my mailing list subscribers already know, this second campaign went exactly like the first: completely ignored. And honestly? That’s perfectly fine. It’s normal. In a wide world full of artists and noise, being overlooked happens. I mean, yes—I have four publications in international art magazines, and now I can also add something more:

My exibition certificate for the 2025 edition of Nudus; biafarin made

I’ve recently been selected for the Nudus 2025 exhibition, earning a certificate as an official exhibitor. So yes, that’s a nice sign of appreciation from the international art world. But even with all that, it’s only natural that my sale campaign didn’t yet reach the right audience—collectors, gallery owners, art dealers, and cultural curators. Not yet.

A self portrait, for - you know - the costumary Instagram security reasons.

Problem is, that being obliged to pay the retirment money to the italian artisan’s fund.

The Financial Reality Behind the Scenes

In Italy, being a registered artist with a Patita IVA means I have to pay into the national retirement fund for artisans—and recently, this slashed my bank account in half. I'm approaching my 51st birthday, and I can’t keep paying for model fees, studio rentals, and everything else, and invest in training like art business courses—which I now know are absolutely necessary.

So what now?

A Pause, Not a Stop

I’ve got several model shoots waiting to be edited. For the next few months, I’ll focus on that—plus submitting to new magazine selections, keeping my podcast and mailing list alive, and preparing at least 3 more sale campaigns, probably across the summer months.

This pause will give me the chance to reflect, plan, and better understand the art business. Where I fit in. How to move forward. What my vision is truly worth.

Let’s not forget: four publications and one exhibition already say something important. Maybe I’m not yet attracting the right buyers—but I’m definitely on the right track. And that’s a path worth walking.

What’s Next?

Next Sunday, I’ll attend the first of two lessons on Patreon.com. If all goes well, I might be able to launch a space there—so starting from June, you could support my future shoots with a small monthly subscription. Want to be part of this? Subscribe to my mailing list to get the first updates.

We’re cooking up new things here, all the time—no matter what.

Stay safe. Stay creative.
